function parameters in php

Function parameters in PHP are small units of a program which can take some input in the form of parameters and does some processing and may return a value.

You declare a function parameter after the function name, and inside a parenthesis.

You can declare function parameters in PHP in much the same way as you declare a variable.

Let us write a program that multiplies a value by 10 and return the value.

Function Parameters Example

function multiply($value){
$value = $value * 10;
return $value;

$result = multiply(10);
echo "The return value is ".$result;

PHP is a robust and extremely popular server-side language that is one of the most popular open source programming languages for dynamic web applications and software development.
